A Legacy in Motion
From a 1923 auto dealership to a beloved Bradenton brewery
powered by vision, history, and great beer

The Vision
In 2012, founder Frank Tschida discovered a historic 27,000 sq. ft. former Hudson Motors dealership. The building’s iconic concrete ramp, high ceilings, and industrial bones perfectly matched his dream of creating a craft brewery.
Frank — a former race car driver — saw the space’s automotive heritage as the ideal foundation. The name “Motorworks,” the hood ornament logo, and the innovative brewing spirit all trace back to this building.

Awards & Competitive Spirit
From our very first GABF medal in 2014 to podium finishes at the Best Florida Beer Championships and U.S. Open Beer Championship, Motorworks has racked up dozens of awards across lagers, IPAs, stouts, and specialty brews—driven by the same competitive spirit that founder and former race car driver Frank Tschida brought from the track to the brewhouse. .

A Landmark of Florida Craft Beer
A New Era
Frank Tschida—the man who built Motorworks from the ground up—has assembled a dedicated crew that matches his passion for exceptional beer and unforgettable times, working side by side with the talented original team members who’ve been here since the early days. From our seasoned brew team perfecting each batch to new faces bringing fresh ideas, this team blends experience, creativity, and a love for craft to make the taproom more inviting, the lineup more exciting, and the beer easier to find no matter where you are.
Today, Motorworks Brewing has grown into three distinct locations, each offering its own unique atmosphere while sharing the same commitment to quality, creativity, and connection. From the original Bradenton brewery and beer garden to Tampa, and the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, the Motorworks experience continues to reach more craft beer lovers across Florida and beyond.
